Serum 21-deoxycortisol (21DF) has been considered a useful hormonal marker for the diagnosis of congenital adrenal hyperplasia (CAH) due to 21-hydroxylase deficiency (21OHD). Although several radioimmunoassay (RIA) methods for 21DF have been reported, none are commercially available.
