OBJECTIVE: To investigate the association between carbohydrate intakes and ?-cell function (HOMA-?) in Japanese-Brazilians with impaired glucose tolerance (IGT). METHODS: Dietary intakes were assessed by a validated food frequency questionnaire in a cross-sectional survey carried out in 2000.
